My work explores issues of interdependence: figure with ground, individual with culture, body with biology, pictorial illusion with materials. In the creation of a piece, I gravitate toward reaching a certain balance. Images built from a myriad of sources and saturated with possibility are ultimately held captive by the components from which they are sprung.
